Emma Gersch

Emma trained as an actor at the University of Hull and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and went on to perform in theatre productions in the UK, Europe and the USA. Emma went on to work as a Director and Theatre Practitioner, and is currently Senior Teaching Fellow and Lecturer in Drama at Bath Spa University, and visiting director at Mountview Theatre Academy. As a Director, Emma specialises in site-specific, promenade and event theatre and has devised and created over ten radical reinvention productions of classics,for Full Tilt Theatre Company including ‘Hamlet’ for the Bath Shakespeare Festival and the Minack Theatre, (“This is Shakespeare at its Best and not to be missed”), ‘Macbeth’, ‘The Comedy of Errors’ (USA and Canada tour). Currently Emma is directing a revival production of ‘Orestes Re-Examined’ for the Southwark Playhouse .Other directing credits for ProActive Productions include ‘The Bald Prima Donna’ (Kings Head and UK Tour), ‘Moving Stories’ (Southwark Playhouse). Emma also teaches and directs at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, and at ALRA. Emma founded ProActive Productions in 2000.

Ben Caplan

Ben has worked as an actor in Theatre, TV and Film for 15 years, and has also taught and directed at Mountiew Theatre Academy and Bath Spa University.

Television includes: Trinity (Ash Atalla ITV), The Passion(HBO/BBC), Maxwell, The Candidate, Judge John Deed, Dwarfs, Band of Brothers(HBO/BBC-winner of golden globe and emmy), A Touch of Frost, Soldier, Soldier, Inspector Morse, The Perfect Blue, Where The Heart Is. Film: LeapYear, Guy Ritchie's Rocknrolla, Driver, Hospital. Directing credits include: The Collector(Underbelly and Arcola,London), Hope, Intern, Park Life (short films), Orphans. Ben founded Aslan Productions in 2002 and co-produced "Everything is Illuminated" (Hampstead Theatre).
